Donna Huber is a Diplomate of Acupuncture (Dipl.Ac.) and Diplomate of Chinese Herbal Medicine (Dipl.C.H.) certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM.org). She received her four-year Master of Science in Chinese Medicine in 2002 while living in Santa Fe, NM. Donna also completed a clinical internship in China at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the state of Nebraska.

Donna came to study Chinese medicine during her own struggle with fertility. It was her OB/GYN in Santa Fe who suggested she turn to acupuncture, saying, “I have no idea how it works, I just know that it works!” Donna and her husband began receiving acupuncture treatments, taking Chinese herbs, and making major lifestyle changes. With commitment and discipline, their health and overall well-being began to improve exponentially. As she became enlightened and empowered by her own health and wellness, Donna soon realized that she needed to help others to take charge of their bodies and their health! Through a difficult and painful path, she experienced a shift in focus that led her to attend Chinese Medical School and emerge as a new being. Donna gave birth to Thirteen Moons Acupuncture in February 2003.

Donna is a qualified practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine with special training in female and male reproductive health. Donna has worked extensively with Dr. Randine Lewis, author of the bestselling book The Infertility Cure. In addition to specializing in reproductive health, Donna also focuses on digestive health, emotional health, stress reduction, and acute and chronic pain management. She has been studying Human Mind, Body and Spirit for over 30 years and loves to teach people how to take care of and be responsible for themselves!

Donna lives in Omaha, NE, with Tracy, her husband of 25 years. Donna loves being outside in nature, gazing at the stars with her telescope and spending time on self-improvement. When not running her business and seeing her beloved patients, she can be found in her hammock devouring classical Chinese medicine texts, or tapping away on the computer, writing her life story.

John Hurt is a Diplomate of Acupuncture (Dipl.Ac.) and certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM.org). He received his four-year Master of Science in Oriental Medicine in 2015. He is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the state of Nebraska and an active member of the Nebraska Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association. John also has a B.S. in Business from UNO, and a B.S. in Ed. from Peru State College.

He is a T’ai Chi Chuan and Qigong exercise instructor since 2011 and teaches Tai Chi introductory courses to the Livestrong Cancer Support groups at his local YMCA. His many life experiences help him to listen to and empathize with his patients. He found many answers to his own struggles while studying Traditional Chinese Medicine.

John’s journey to acupuncture began with his dog, named Buster. Buster was a Border Collie and was in the geriatric stage of life. Buster was beginning to experience painful degenerative back issues. Buster was treated by a Holistic veterinarian with acupuncture and supplements. Through a series of treatments, Buster was able to regain his mobility without pain and went on to live the remaining years of his life pain free and enjoying a typical dog’s life.

John equated his experience with Buster to the realization that his own body was beginning to break down while he was working his remodeling and construction business. It was at that point that he decided to divert his energies to going back to school to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and become an Acupuncturist. He wanted to help himself and others to realize the power and healing of bringing the body and mind to a more balanced state using the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine. John focuses on acute and chronic pain management, emotional health, and stress management. Through schooling John has been trained in many types of acupuncture including but not limited to auricular therapy, abdominal, electrical stimulation, scalp, and facial. He is currently studying Tung style acupuncture. He also has been trained in Moxibustion, Cupping, Guasha, Tuina Anmo (Oriental bodywork) and various muscle melting techniques. John is a native of Omaha, NE. He lives here with his wife, Jonna. Together they have four boys and Standard Poodles. John enjoys fishing off his boat, hiking, riding his bike, and football.
